Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union to Award $70,000 in Catholic School Grants in 2021

Garfield Heights, OH – April, 2021 – In keeping with its commitment to support Catholic education, Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union will be awarding $70,000 in Catholic school grants in 2021.  The credit union will be awarding six $5,000 grants, ten $2,500 grants, and $500 guaranteed grants to all other qualified applicants.  Since 2016, Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union has awarded over $300,000 in grants to a total of 48 different schools in the Dioceses of Cleveland, Youngstown, Steubenville, and Cincinnati.

The online grant application will go live at www.ohiocatholicfcu.com/2021-catholic-school-grant-application/ beginning April 1, 2021 and will be available until May 31, 2021.  All grant applicants will receive award notification letters no later than Friday, July 16^th.

In order to qualify for the Catholic School Grant Program, schools must meet one of the following requirements:

• Have a minimum of $50,000 on deposit with Ohio Catholic FCU
• Have a commercial loan with Ohio Catholic FCU

Grants are intended for programs or projects that promote or enhance the Catholicity and/or Faith Component of your school, as well as the betterment of the community and/or students attending.  Grants are not intended for capital campaigns or improvements, general tuition assistance, endowments, foundations, or general operating budgets.  In addition, please note that grants cannot be used towards employee salaries, travel expenses, or any personal or individual gain.

After the grants are awarded, schools will be required to provide a summary report detailing the progress and outcomes resulting from the grant funding.
